Online ordering - clarification of terminology

REAR SEAT DIVISIBILITY
The first thing to pay attention to when ordering is the rear bench (or rear seats). In order to select the correct seat frame, it is first necessary to check whether the vehicle for which the covers are being ordered has rear seats in one piece or has split seats or seat sections (backrest) as shown in the photographs. The vehicle may also have an armrest, which should be taken into account.

YEAR OF PRODUCTION
Car models often have a ‘facelift’ or intermediate line (version/performance) that may be significantly different from the initial model, so the year of production is very important.

NUMBER OF DOORS
It is important to choose the correct number of doors on the vehicle. The vehicle can have 2, 3, 4 or 5 doors.
For example, if it has 3 (three) doors, then additional openings/holes are sewn into the covers of the seat back release handles, which are not present in vehicles with 4 or 5 doors.

As for the 4 or 5 doors, the difference is as follows:
For models where the rear window also lifts up when the rear boot is opened, choose the five (5) door option. For those where only the boot is raised and the rear window remains in place, choose the four (4) door option.

FRONT ARMREST
It must be indicated whether the vehicle has an armrest between the driver and passenger.

SIDE AIRBAGS (AIRBAG)
If the front seats have side airbags, openings shall be made in the covers to allow the airbags to deploy smoothly.

FOLDING TABLES ON THE BACKS OF THE FRONT SEATS
These are small airplane tables for passengers in the back seat, for food, drinks or things that can be lowered or raised as needed.

POCKETS ON THE BACKS OF THE FRONT SEATS
Storage pockets for rear seat passengers' belongings located on the back of the front seat backs (backrests) may be sewn from the cover material if this is specified when ordering the covers.

SPORTS FRONT SEATS
The front seats can be conventional or sport seats (shell shape with raised side edges - recaro).

FRONT HEAD RESTRAINTS
The design of the head restraint on the front seats can be:
DISSOLVABLE: (most common on Renault vehicles). These backrests can be dissolved, widened or narrowed (from the side - profile, they look like an inverted ‘U’).
ACTIVE: those that cannot be fully extended from the back of the seat, but are merely positioned in height. Therefore, when sewing and fitting the covers, a larger opening (with velcro) must be left to allow the cover to be fitted over the head restraints, which cannot be removed.
CURRENT: If the vehicle has front head restraints that are neither deployable nor active, these are probably normal head restraints.

THE PASSENGER'S BACKREST FOLDS INTO THE DRIVER'S TABLE
In vans or single-seaters, it is possible to fold the passenger seat in the back and make it a table that the driver can use (i.e. there is plastic in the back, sometimes with recesses for glasses and the like).

THIRD SEAT BELT OPENING ON THE REAR SEAT BACKREST (ON THE COVER)
Check if there is a third seat belt on the rear seats (centre) which is mounted on the backrest (as there must be an opening left on the cover). If the seat belt is mounted on the roof or similar, then this is not relevant for the cover.

REAR OF FRONT SEAT BACKS - HARD (PLASTIC)
The back of the front backrests can be made of the same materials as the rest of the seat, or the back can be made of a firm, rigid material - for example plastic. This part is not covered by a cover, so in this case you must choose a cover with this option when ordering.

OPENINGS ON THE ISOFIX COVER (CHILD SEAT)

EQUIPMENT
For some makes of car, the equipment version is important because, depending on the equipment, the seats also differ.
